أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّيْمِيُّ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ عِنْدِي فِي مَوْضِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَفِي مَوْضِعٍ لَيْسَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَتْ لَهُ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ لَهَا ارْجِعِي إِلَيَّ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَرَكَ قَالَ ائْتِنِي أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ إِلَّا جُبَيْرُ بْنُ مُطْعِمٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ وَجْهٍ مُتَّصِلٌ عَنْهُ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ حَدِيثًا مُسْنَدًا غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَإِسْنَادُهُ صَحِيحٌ

Amr ibn Ali and Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Taymi narrated to us, they said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us from his father from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im from his father — Abu Dawud said: In my records, it appears in one place 'from his father' and in another place without 'from his father' — that a woman came to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and mentioned something to him. He said to her: 'Come back to me.' She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what if I do not find you?' He said: 'Come to Abu Bakr.' This hadith — we know of no one who narrates it except Jubayr ibn Mut'im from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) through a connected chain from him, and we do not know that Sa'd ibn Ibrahim narrated from Muhammad ibn Jubayr any hadith with a connected chain other than this hadith, and its chain of narration is authentic.
