حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَسَدِ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْخَوْلَانِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ شُيَيْمِ بْنِ بَيْتَانَ عَنْ شَيْبَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ رُوَيْفِعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ رَدَّتْهُ الطِّيَرَةُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ فَقَدْ قَارَفَ الشِّرْكَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِلَّا رُوَيْفِعُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ وَحْدَهُ وَشُيَيْمُ بْنُ بَيْتَانَ غَيْرُ مَشْهُورٍ وَإِنَّمَا ذَكَرْنَا حَدِيثَهُ إِذْ كَانَ لَا يُرْوَى عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذَا الْكَلَامُ إِلَّا عَنْهُ وَقَدْ رَوَى غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَيْضًا
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibrahim narrated to us, he said: Sa'id ibn Asad ibn Musa informed us, he said: Idris ibn Yahya al-Khawlani informed us, he said: Abdullah ibn 'Ayyash informed us, from his father, from Shuyaym ibn Baytan, from Shayban ibn Umayyah, from Ruwayfi' ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Whoever is turned back from something by superstitious omens has committed an act close to polytheism (shirk).' We do not know of anyone who narrates this hadith with this wording except Ruwayfi' ibn Thabit alone, and Shuyaym ibn Baytan is not well-known. We have mentioned his hadith because these words are not narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) except through him, and he has narrated other hadiths as well.
