أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عُصَيْمٍ الْجُعْفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبْجَرَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبْجَرَ عَنْ وَاصِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ فَأَبْلَغَ وَأَوْجَزَ فَقُلْنَا يَا أَبَا الْيَقْظَانِ لَوْ كُنْتَ تنَفَّسْتَ شَيْئًا؟ قَالَ

Narrated Ammar ibn Yasir through Abu Wa'il: Ammar gave us a sermon that was eloquent and concise. We said: "O Abu al-Yaqzan, if only you had been more expansive." He said (the hadith continues with the Prophet's teaching about the length of prayer and brevity of sermons).
