حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ نا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى عُمَرَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ وَقَالَ إِنِّي أَجْنَبْتُ فَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَاءً فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لَا تُصَلِّ فَقَالَ عَمَّارٌ أَمَا تَذْكُرُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ أَنَا وَأَنْتَ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَأَجْنَبْنَا فَلَمْ نَجِدْ مَاءً فَأَمَّا أَنْتَ فَلَمْ تُصَلِّ وَأَمَّا أَنَا فَتَمَعَّكْتُ فِي التُّرَابِ وَصَلَّيْتُ فَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرْتُ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَكْفِيكَ وَضَرَبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ الْأَرْضَ ثُمَّ نَفَخَ وَمَسَحَ بِهَا وَجْهَهُ وَكَفَّيْهِ مَاءً فَأَمَّا أَنْتَ فَلَمْ تُصَلِّ وَأَمَّا أَنَا فَتَمَعَّكْتُ فِي التُّرَابِ وَصَلَّيْتُ فَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرْتُ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَكْفِيكَ وَضَرَبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ الْأَرْضَ ثُمَّ نَفَخَ وَمَسَحَ بِهَا وَجْهَهُ وَكَفَّيْهِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Narrated Ammar through Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abza: A man came to Umar (may Allah have mercy on him) and said: "I have become junub (ritually impure) and I cannot find water." Umar said: "Do not pray." But Ammar said: "Do you not remember, O Commander of the Faithful, when you and I were in a military detachment and we both became junub and could not find water? As for you, you did not pray. As for me, I rolled in the dust and prayed. When we came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I mentioned that to him, and he said: It would have sufficed you to do this - and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) struck the ground with his hands, then blew on them and wiped his face and palms."
