أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ شَاذَانُ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سَابِطٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَحْبِسْهُ مَرَضٌ أَوْ حَاجَةٌ ظَاهِرَةٌ أَوْ سُلْطَانٌ جَائِرٌ وَلَمْ يَحُجَّ فَلْيَمُتْ إِنْ شَاءَ يَهُوَدِيًّا أَوْ نَصْرَانِيًّا وَهَذَا وَإِنْ كَانَ إِسْنَادُهُ غَيْرَ قَوِيٍّ فَلَهُ شَاهِدٌ مِنْ قَوْلِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: 'Whoever is not prevented by illness, a clear need, or an oppressive ruler, and does not perform Hajj, then let him die if he wishes as a Jew or a Christian.' Although its chain is not strong, it has a supporting statement from Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him).
