وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا بَحْرٌ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ جَشِيبٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زُرْعَةَ بْنَ ثَوْبٍ يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ صِيَامِ الدَّهْرِ قَالَ كُنَّا نَعُدُّ أُولَئِكَ فِينَا مِنَ السَّابِقِينَ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمٍ وَفِطْرِ يَوْمٍ قَالَ لَمْ يَدَعْ ذَلِكَ لِصَائِمٍ مَصَامًا قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ صِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ فَقَالَ صَامَ ذَلِكَ الدَّهْرَ وَأَفْطَرَهُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Zur'ah ibn Thawb said: 'I asked 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar about fasting the entire time. He said: We used to consider those among us who did that as being among the foremost. I asked him about fasting one day and breaking the fast one day. He said: That does not leave anything for the fasting person. I asked him about fasting three days of every month. He said: That is like fasting the entire time and breaking the fast.'
