أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ قَالَ أَرْسَلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَجُلَيْنِ يَنْظُرَانِ إِلَى الْفَجْرِ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَصْبَحْتُ وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ لَا قَالَ اخْتَلَفْتُمَا أَرِنِي شَرَابِي وَرُوِيَ فِي هَذَا عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ وَعُمَرَ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abbas sent two men to look at the dawn. One of them said: 'Morning has come.' The other said: 'No.' Ibn Abbas said: 'You two have disagreed. Bring me my drink.' It was also reported about Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, Umar, and Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) regarding this.
