أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَدَقَةَ رَمَضَانَ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ عَلَى الذَّكَرِ وَالْأُنْثَى وَالْحُرِّ وَالْمَمْلُوكِ فَعَدَلَ النَّاسُ بِهِ نِصْفَ صَاعٍ مِنْ بُرٍّ فَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُعْطِي التَّمْرَ فَأَعْوَزَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ عَامًا التَّمْرُ فَأَعْطَى شَعِيرًا وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُعْطِي إِذَا قَعَدَ الَّذِينَ يَقْبَلُونَهَا وَكَانُوا يَقْعُدُونَ قَبْلَ الْفِطْرِ يَوْمًا أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ وَكَانَ يُعْطِي عَنِ الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ مِنَ أَهْلِهِ حَتَّى كَانَ يُعْطِي عَنِ ابْنِي يَعْنِي ابْنَيْ نَافِعٍ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Muhammad al-Muqri' informed us... from Ibn Umar who said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prescribed the charity of Ramadan as a sa' of dates or a sa' of barley on males and females, free and slaves. Then the people equated it with half a sa' of wheat.' Ibn Umar used to give dates, but one year dates became scarce for the people of Madinah, so he gave barley. Ibn Umar used to give when those who collect it sat down, and they would sit down a day or two before Eid. He used to give on behalf of the young and old of his family, even giving on behalf of my sons - meaning Nafi's sons.
