وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَمَلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَرَأَى شَيْئًا مِنْ نِتَاجِهِ يُبَاعُ فَأَرَادَ شِرَاءَهُ فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَا تَشْتَرِهِ وَلَا تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
And Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Zayd ibn Aslam from his father who said: Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) donated a horse in the way of Allah. He saw some of its offspring being sold and wanted to buy it. He asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: 'Do not buy it and do not take back your charity.'
