وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَبُو عُتْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرَ ثنا أَبُو الْحَكَمِ حَدَّثَنِي مَرْزُوقٌ الصَّيْقَلُ قَالَ صَقَلْتُ سَيْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ذَا الْفَقَارِ فَكَانَ فِيهِ قَبِيعَةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَبَكَرَةٌ فِي وَسَطِهِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَحَلَقٌ فِي قَيْدِهِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Bakr ibn al-Hasan the Judge narrated to us: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us: Abu Utba narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Himyar narrated to us: Abu al-Hakam narrated to us: Marzuq al-Sayqal narrated to me: I polished the sword of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Dhu al-Faqar. It had a pommel of silver, a knob in its middle of silver, and rings on its scabbard of silver.
