أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ أنبأ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ اللُّؤْلُؤِيُّ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَهْلٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا مَاتَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مَعَ الرِّجَالِ لَيْسَ مَعَهُمُ امْرَأَةٌ غَيْرُهَا وَالرَّجُلُ مَعَ النِّسَاءِ لَيْسَ مَعَهُنَّ رَجُلٌ غَيْرُهُ فَإِنَّهُمَا يُتَيَمَّمَانِ وَيُدْفَنَانِ وَهُمَا بِمَنْزِلَةِ مَنْ لَا يَجِدُ الْمَاءَ هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ وَرُوِي عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ غَرْفَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَمُوتُ مَعَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ تَمُوتُ مَعَ الرِّجَالِ لَيْسَ لِوَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مَحْرَمٌ يُتَيَّمَّمَانِ بِالصَّعِيدِ وَلَا يُغَسَّلَانِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Usama ibn Zayd narrated: 'The daughter of the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent word to him that her son was dying. He sent back saying: "To Allah belongs what He has taken, and to Him belongs what He has given. Everything has an appointed term with Him. So let her be patient and seek reward." She sent again insisting that he come. He went, and the child was placed in his lap while his breath was rattling. The eyes of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) shed tears. Sa'd said: "What is this, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "This is mercy that Allah places in the hearts of His servants. Allah is merciful only to the merciful among His servants."'
