Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr narrated to us... from Abu Musa who said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). He stood up alarmed, fearing that it might be the Hour, until he came to the mosque. He stood praying with the longest standing, bowing, and prostrating that I had ever seen him do in any prayer. Then he said: 'These signs that Allah sends do not occur for the death of anyone nor for their life, but Allah sends them to frighten His servants with them. When you see any of them, hasten to the remembrance of Allah, His supplication, and seeking His forgiveness.'
