الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Sa'id ibn Abi 'Amr informed us... from al-Rabi'... from al-Shafi'i... from Ibn Jurayj who said: 'I asked 'Ata' about the supplication that people make during the Friday sermon: Has anything been reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) or anyone after him about it? He said: No, it was innovated. The sermon was originally only a reminder (tadhkir). And the hadith of Jabir ibn Samurah and others about the Prophet's sermon has already been cited.'
