أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْفَحَّامُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنبا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ إِنَّ طُولَ الصَّلَاةِ وَقِصَرَ الْخُطْبَةِ مَئِنَّةٌ مِنْ فِقْهِ الرَّجُلِ يَقُولُ عَلَامَةٌ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Tahir al-Faqih informed us... from Muhammad ibn Yahya... from 'Abd al-Razzaq... from Sufyan, from al-A'mash, from Abu Wa'il, from 'Umar ibn Shurahbil who said: 'Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) said: The length of the prayer and the shortness of the sermon are a sign of a man's understanding (fiqh).'
