وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أنبأ وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ثنا أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَيُّوبَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مِخْرَاقٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ ؓ إِنَّ رِجَالًا يَقْرَأُ أَحَدُهُمُ الْقُرْآنَ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا فَقَالَتْ أُولَئِكَ قَرَءُوا وَلَمْ يَقْرَءُوا كُنْتُ أَقُومُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي اللَّيْلِ التَّامِّ فَيَقْرَأُ بِالْبَقَرَةِ وَآلِ عِمْرَانَ وَالنِّسَاءِ فَإِذَا مَرَّ بِآيَةٍ فِيهَا اسْتِبْشَارٌ دَعَا وَرَغِبَ وَإِذَا مَرَّ بِآيَةٍ فِيهَا تَخْوِيفٌ دَعَا وَاسْتَعَاذَ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muslim ibn Mikhraq said: I said to Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): Some men recite the entire Quran in one night two or three times. She said: They have recited but they have not truly recited. I used to stand with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) through the entire night, and he would recite al-Baqarah, Al Imran, and an-Nisa. When he came to a verse of glad tidings, he would supplicate and yearn. When he came to a verse of warning, he would supplicate and seek refuge.
