أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمَعْرُوفِ الْفَقِيهُ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ بِهَا أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرٍو إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ نُجَيْدٍ السُّلَمِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَنَمَةَ أَنَّ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَصَلَّى صَلَاةً فَأَخَفَّهَا فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا الْيَقْظَانِ إِنَّكَ خَفَّفْتَ فَقَالَ هَلْ رَأَيْتَنِي انْتَقَصْتُ مِنْ حُدُودِهَا شَيْئًا؟ إِنِّي بَادَرْتُ بِهَا سَهْوَةَ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لِيُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ مَا لَهُ مِنْهَا إِلَّا عُشْرُهَا تُسْعُهَا ثُمْنُهَا سُبُعُهَا سُدْسُهَا خُمُسُهَا رُبُعُهَا ثُلُثُهَا نِصْفُهَا هَكَذَا

Abu al-Hasan Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi al-Ma'ruf al-Faqih al-Mihrajani informed us, Abu Amr Isma'il ibn Nujayd al-Sulami informed us, Abu Muslim informed us, Abu Asim narrated to us from Ibn Ajlan from al-Maqburi from Umar ibn al-Hakam from Abdullah ibn Anamah that Ammar ibn Yasir entered the mosque and prayed a quick prayer. I said: O Abu al-Yaqzan, you made it very short! He said: Did you see me reduce any of its essential parts? I was hastening to complete it before the Shaytan's distraction. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'A man may pray the prayer and only get a tenth of it, a ninth, an eighth, a seventh, a sixth, a fifth, a quarter, a third, or half.' Like this.
