وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخَطِيبُ أنبأ أَبُو بَحْرٍ الْبَرْبَهَارِيُّ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ سَأَلْتُ الْحُمَيْدِيَّ عَنِ الْخَطَّ فَأَوْمَأَ لِي مِثْلَ الْهِلَالِ الْعَظِيمِ

Abu Sa'id al-Khatib informed us, Abu Bahr al-Barbahhari informed us, Bishr ibn Musa narrated to us. He said: I asked al-Humaydi about the line, and he gestured to me like a large crescent.
