كَمَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا أَبِي عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ح قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَجُلًا حَلَفَ بِاللهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ أَوْ قَالَ حَلَفَ بِاللهِ كَاذِبًا فَغُفِرَ لَهُ يَعْنِي لِإِخْلَاصِهِ بِاللهِ وَهَذَا وَهْمٌ مِنْ شُعْبَةَ وَالصَّوَابُ رِوَايَةُ الْجَمَاعَةِ وَعُبَيْدَةُ مَاتَ قَبْلَ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ فِيمَا زَعَمَ أَهْلُ التَّوَارِيخِ بِتِسْعِ سِنِينَ فَتَبْعُدُ رِوَايَتُهُ عَنْهُ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ مَعَ الِاخْتِلَافِ عَلَيْهِ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ وَرُوِيَ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَلَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that a man swore by Allah, besides Whom there is no deity - or he said, swore by Allah falsely - and he was forgiven, meaning because of his sincere declaration of Allah's oneness. This is an error from Shu'bah, and the correct version is the narration of the majority. Ubaydah died nine years before Ibn al-Zubayr according to the historians, so his narrating from him is unlikely. Ata ibn al-Sa'ib narrated it alone, with disagreement in its chain, and it was also narrated from Thabit from Anas, though it is not strong.
