أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا ابْنُ مِلْحَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا لَيْثٌ هُوَ ابْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ خَبَّابٍ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدِ بْنَ مَالِكٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَقُدِّمَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَقَالَ مَا أَنَا بِآكِلِهِ حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى أَخِيهِ لِأُمِّهِ وَكَانَ بَدْرِيًّا قَتَادَةَ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لَهُ قَدْ حَدَثَ بَعْدَكَ أَمْرٌ نَقْضًا لِمَا كَانَ نَهَى عَنْهُ مِنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الضَّحَايَا بَعْدَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ

Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Abdan informed us, Ahmad ibn Ubayd al-Saffar narrated to us, Ibn Milhan narrated to us, Yahya ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Layth - he is Ibn Sa'd - narrated to us from Yahya ibn Sa'id from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from Ibn Khabbab that Abu Sa'id ibn Malik al-Khudri returned from a journey, and some meat from sacrificial animals was brought to him. He said: "I will not eat it until I ask." So he went to his brother from his mother, who was a veteran of Badr - Qatadah ibn al-Nu'man - and asked him about it. He said: "Something has happened after you left, as an abrogation of what he had prohibited regarding eating the meat of sacrifices after three days."
