الترجمة الإنجليزية
And Abu Ali informed us, Ibn Shawdhab informed us, Shu'ayb narrated to us, Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us from Hasan ibn Salih, Salamah ibn Kuhayil narrated to us from Hujayyah ibn Adiyy from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was asked about the cow, and he said: "From seven." He was asked: "With a broken horn?" He said: "It does not harm you." He was asked: "The lame one?" He said: "When you reach the place of sacrifice. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to inspect the eyes and ears." This indicates that what was meant by the first narration, if authentic, is the recommendation regarding the horn. Al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "There is no deficiency in the horn" - meaning there is no deficiency in the meat due to its lack or absence.
