أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ السَّيْرَافِيُّ ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا سَلَّامُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ عَنْ عَائِذِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ؓ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا هَذِهِ الْأَضَاحِيُّ؟ قَالَ سُنَّةُ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ قَالُوا مَا لَنَا فِيهَا مِنَ الْأَجْرِ؟ قَالَ بِكُلِّ قَطْرَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ

Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Abdan informed us, Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us, Hisham ibn Ali al-Sirafi narrated to us, Hudbah ibn Khalid narrated to us, Sallam ibn Miskin narrated to us from A'idh Allah, from Abu Dawud, from Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that they said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "What are these sacrifices?" He said: "The practice of your father Ibrahim, peace be upon him." They said: "What reward is there for us in them?" He said: "For every drop of blood, a good deed."
