حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَظُنُّهُ الْبَغَوِيَّ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أَنْفَقْتَ الْوَرِقَ فِي شَيْءٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ نَحِيرَةٍ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخُوزِيِّ وَلَيْسَا بِالْقَوِيَّيْنِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أَنْفَقْتَ الْوَرِقَ فِي شَيْءٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ نَحِيرَةٍ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخُوزِيِّ وَلَيْسَا بِالْقَوِيَّيْنِ

Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Yusuf al-Asbahani narrated to us, Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Jurjani informed us, Abdullah ibn Muhammad - I believe he is al-Baghawi - informed us, Dawud ibn Rushaid narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Rabi'ah narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Yazid narrated to us from Amr ibn Dinar, from Tawus, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have not spent money on anything better than a sacrificial animal on the day of Eid." Muhammad ibn Rabi'ah was alone in narrating this from Ibrahim al-Khuzi, and neither of them is strong.
