وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنِ السَّفَّاحِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ كُرْدُوسٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ ؓ أَنَّهُ صَالَحَ بَنِي تَغْلِبَ عَلَى أَنْ لَا يَصْبُغُوا فِي دِينِهِمْ صَبِيًّا وَعَلَى أَنَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّدَقَةَ مُضَاعَفَةٌ وَعَلَى أَنْ لَا يُكْرَهُوا عَلَى دِينٍ غَيْرِ دِينِهِمْ فَكَانَ دَاوُدُ يَقُولُ مَا لِبَنِي تَغْلِبَ ذِمَّةٌ؛ قَدْ صَبَغُوا
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Dawud ibn Kurdus narrated from Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he made a treaty with Banu Taghlib stipulating that they not baptize any child into their religion, that the charity upon them be doubled, and that they not be compelled to adopt a religion other than theirs. Dawud used to say: Banu Taghlib have no covenant of protection anymore, for they have baptized their children.
