Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us... Abdullah al-Hawzani said: I met Bilal, the muezzin of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and said: O Bilal, tell me how the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) spent. He mentioned the hadith, in which he said: Then a person came running, calling: O Bilal, answer the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). So I went until I came to him, and there were four riding camels kneeling with their loads on them. I sought permission and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me: Rejoice, for Allah has sent what will settle your debt. Then he said: Have you not seen the four kneeling camels? I said: Yes. He said: Their loads and what is on them are yours, for on them are garments and food sent to me as gifts by the chief of Fadak. Take them and pay off your debt. So I did.
