وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ حَمْدَانَ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَسْلَمَ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ قَالَ كَتَبَ عُمَرُ ؓ إِلَى أُمَرَاءِ الْجِزْيَةِ أَنْ لَا يَضَعُوا الْجِزْيَةَ إِلَّا عَلَى مَنْ جَرَتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَوَاسِي وَلَا يَضَعُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ وَكَانَ عُمَرُ ؓ يَخْتِمُ أَهْلَ الْجِزْيَةِ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn 'Ali al-Asbahani informed us, Abu 'Amr ibn Hamdan narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn Sufyan narrated to us, Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, 'Abdah ibn Sulayman narrated to us from 'Ubaydullah, from Nafi', from Aslam the freed slave of 'Umar, who said: 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to the jizya commanders that they should not impose the jizya except upon those who have reached puberty (upon whom the razor has passed), and they should not impose the jizya upon women and children. And 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to seal the necks of the jizya people (with identifying marks).
