Abu Bakr ibn Furak informed us, 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Abu al-Judi al-Shami informed me, he said: I heard Sa'id ibn al-Muhajir narrating from al-Miqdam ibn Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) — and he had companionship [with the Prophet] — that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "No man is a guest of people and the guest wakes up deprived except that it is upon every Muslim to support him until he takes the hospitality of his night from their crops and their wealth."
