أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذٍ الْعَدْلُ ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ الْبَزَّارُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ الْقَيْسِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ��َمْرٍو ؓ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ؓ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ عَلَى بَابِهِ يُشِيرُ بِيَدِهِ كَأَنَّهُ يُحَدِّثُ نَفْسَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ مَا شَأْنُكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ تُحَدِّثُ نَفْسَكَ؟ قَالَ وَمَا لِي يُرِيدُ عَدُوُّ اللهِ أَنْ يُلْهِيَنِي عَنْ كَلَامٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مُكَابِدٌ دَهْرَكَ الْآنَ فِي بَيْتِكَ أَلَا تَخْرُجُ إِلَى الْمَجْلِسِ فَتَحَدَّثُ وَأَنَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ جَاهَدَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَانَ ضَامِنًا عَلَى اللهِ وَمَنْ جَلَسَ فِي بَيْتِهِ لَا يَغْتَابُ أَحَدًا بِسُوءٍ كَانَ ضَامِنًا عَلَى اللهِ وَمَنْ عَادَ مَرِيضًا كَانَ ضَامِنًا عَلَى اللهِ وَمَنْ غَدَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ وَرَاحَ كَانَ ضَامِنًا عَلَى اللهِ وَمَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَى إِمَامٍ يُعَزِّرُهُ كَانَ ضَامِنًا عَلَى اللهِ فَيُرِيدُ عَدُوُّ اللهِ أَنْ يُخْرِجَهُ مِنْ بَيْتِي إِلَى الْمَجْلِسِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, from Ali ibn Hamshad al-Adl, from Ubayd ibn Sharik al-Bazzar, from Yahya ibn Bukayr, from al-Layth ibn Sa'd, from al-Harith ibn Ya'qub, from Qays ibn Rafi' al-Qaysi, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr, from Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) who passed by Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) sitting at his door, gesturing with his hand as though talking to himself. Abdullah said to him: What is the matter with you, O Abu Abd al-Rahman, talking to yourself? He said: Why not? The enemy of Allah wants to distract me from words I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). You say: You struggle all your time in your house now, will you not come out to the gathering to talk? — while I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: Whoever fights in the cause of Allah is guaranteed by Allah. Whoever sits in his house not slandering anyone is guaranteed by Allah. Whoever visits a sick person is guaranteed by Allah. Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning and evening is guaranteed by Allah. And whoever enters upon a ruler to support him is guaranteed by Allah. So the enemy of Allah wants to bring me out of my house to the gathering!
