أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ نَجِيحٍ وَلَيْسَ بِالْمَلْطِيِّ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ إِذَا أَكْثَبُوكُمْ فَارْمُوهُمْ بِالنَّبْلِ وَلَا تَسُلُّوا السُّيُوفَ حَتَّى يَغْشَوْكُمْ

Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us, from Abu Bakr ibn Dasah, from Abu Dawud, from Muhammad ibn Isa, from Ishaq ibn Najih — not al-Malti — from Malik ibn Hamzah ibn Abi Usayd al-Sa'idi, from his father, from his grandfather who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said on the day of Badr: When they come close to you, shoot them with arrows, and do not draw your swords until they are upon you.
