أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ السُّكَّرِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْخِيَارِ أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَيْنَا هُوَ جَالِسٌ مَعَ أَصْحَابُهُ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَاسْتَأْذَنَهُ فِي أَنْ يُسَارَّهُ قَالَ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ فَسَارَّهُ فِي قَتْلِ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ فَجَهَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَلَيْسَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ؟ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَا شَهَادَةَ لَهُ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ يُصَلِّي؟ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لَا صَلَاةَ لَهُ قَالَ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ نُهِيتُ عَنْهُمْ قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ فَأَخْبَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُسْتَأْذِنَ فِي قَتْلِ الْمُنَافِقِ إِذْ أَظْهَرَ الْإِسْلَامَ أَنَّ اللهَ نَهَاهُ عَنْ قَتْلِهِ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ وَرُوِّينَا فِي الْحَدِيثِ الثَّابِتِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ فِي قِصَّةِ الرَّجُلِ الَّذِي قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ اتَّقِ اللهَ فِي الْقِسْمَةِ الَّتِي قَسَمَهَا وَاسْتِئْذَانِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فِي قَتْلِهِ وَقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَا لَعَلَّهُ يَكُونُ يُصَلِّي قَالَ خَالِدٌ وَكَمْ مِنْ مُصَلٍّ يَقُولُ بِلِسَانِهِ مَا لَيْسَ فِي قَلْبِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي لَمْ أُؤْمَرْ أَنْ أُنَقِّبَ عَنْ قُلُوبِ النَّاسِ وَلَا أَشُقَّ بُطُونَهُمْ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ubaydullah ibn Adiyy narrated that a man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) while he was sitting with his Companions and asked permission to whisper to him. The Prophet allowed it, and the man whispered about killing a hypocrite. The Prophet said aloud: "Does he not testify that there is no god but Allah?" He said: "Yes, but his testimony is not sincere." The Prophet asked: "Does he not pray?" He said: "Yes, but his prayer is not sincere." The Prophet said: "Those are the ones I have been forbidden from killing." Al-Shafi'i noted that the Prophet forbade killing hypocrites who outwardly profess Islam. In the established hadith of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, when Khalid asked to kill a man who insulted the Prophet's distribution, the Prophet said: "Perhaps he prays." Khalid said: "How many people pray but say what is not in their hearts?" The Prophet replied: "I have not been commanded to examine people's hearts or cut open their bellies."
