أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَرْدَسْتَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْعِرَاقِيُّ أنبأ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّ بَغْلًا وَقَعَ فِي بِئْرٍ فَانْكَسَرَ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى شُرَيْحٍ فَقَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ يَا أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ أَعَلَى الْبِئْرِ ضَمَانٌ؟ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنْ عَلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ فَضَمَّنَهُ وَكَانَتِ الْبِئْرُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فِي غَيْرِ حَقِّهِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Narrations about the virtue of jihad in the cause of Allah and the status of martyrs. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Standing guard for a day and night in the way of Allah is better than fasting and praying for a month." The martyrs are alive with their Lord, being provided for, rejoicing in what Allah has given them.
