وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الطَّائِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَقِيلُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَهْبٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَيْكُمْ بِكُلِّ أَشْقَرَ أَغَرَّ مُحَجَّلٍ أَوْ كُمَيْتٍ أَغَرَّ نَحْوَهُ وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُهَاجِرٍ فَسَأَلْتُهُ لِمَ فَضَّلَ الْأَشْقَرَ؟ قَالَ لِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً فَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْفَتْحِ صَاحِبَ أَشْقَرَ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Wahb narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'You should choose every chestnut with a white mark on its forehead and white-stockinged legs, or a bay with a white mark on its forehead - similarly.' Muhammad (ibn Muhajir) said: I asked him why the chestnut was preferred. He said: 'Because the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent an expedition and the first to bring news of victory was a rider of a chestnut horse.'
