أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى وَشَيْبَانُ قَالَا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ وَحُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَا فِي أُمِّ أَبِي الْأُمِّ لَا تَرِثُ وَقَالَ دَاوُدُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ إِنَّمَا الَّذِي تُدْلِي بِهِ لَا يَرِثُ فَكَيْفَ تَرِثُ هِيَ؟

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us: Abu al-Abbas narrated to us: Yahya ibn Abi Talib narrated to us: Yazid ibn Harun informed us: Sufyan narrated from Mansur from Ibrahim from al-Aswad from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: The patronage belongs to the one who pays the price or to the one who performs the emancipation.
