وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ قَدِمَ مَسْرُوقٌ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ يُشْرِكُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلْقَمَةُ أَكَانَ أَحَدٌ أَثْبَتَ عِنْدَكَ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ؟ قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنِّي قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَرَأَيْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ وَأَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ يُشْرِكُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي رَجُلٍ تَرَكَ أَخَوَاتٍ لِأَبٍ وَأُمٍّ وَإِخْوَةً وَأَخَوَاتٍ لِأَبٍ وَتَرَكَ بَنَاتٍ وَبَنَاتِ ابْنٍ وَبَنِي ابْنٍ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us: Yahya ibn Abi Talib narrated to us: Yazid ibn Harun informed us from Sufyan al-Thawri from Abu Qays al-Awdi from Huzayl ibn Shurahbil: Abu Musa was asked about a daughter, a son's daughter, and a sister. He said: The daughter gets one-half and the sister gets one-half. Go to Ibn Mas'ud and he will agree with me. So Ibn Mas'ud was asked and was told of Abu Musa's statement. He said: I would have erred and not been among the rightly guided if I agreed. I will judge in it as the Prophet (peace be upon him) judged: The daughter gets one-half, the son's daughter gets one-sixth to complete the two-thirds, and the remainder is for the sister. They went to Abu Musa and told him of Ibn Mas'ud's statement. He said: Do not ask me about anything while this scholar is among you.
