أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَبُو عُمَرَ قَالَا ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُحَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ كَسْبِ الْإِمَاءِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Discussion of the hadith of Ibn al-Lutbiyyah who was appointed as a tax collector and accepted gifts. The Prophet said: "What about this person we appoint, and he comes and says: 'This is for you, and this was given to me as a gift.' Why did he not sit in his father's house and see if gifts would come to him?"
