قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي أَزْهَرَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يُسْتَجَابُ لِأَحَدِكُمْ مَا لَمْ يَعْجَلْ فَيَقُولُ قَدْ دَعَوْتُ فَمَا يُسْتَجَابُ لِي.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: I read to 'Abd al-Rahman: from Malik; and Ishaq told us: Malik informed us, from Ibn Shihab, from Abu 'Ubayd, freedman of the Banu Azhar, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The supplication of one of you will be answered so long as he is not impatient and says: 'I supplicated but it was not answered for me.'"
