حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ عَنِ أَبِيهِ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي.

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, he said: Salim ibn Hayyan narrated to me, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Name yourselves with my name, but do not take my kunyah (Abu al-Qasim) as your own.'
