حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مَنْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ.

Waki' narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade withholding surplus water in order to withhold pasture by means of it.
