حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ نَعَى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّجَاشِيَّ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ فَخَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى فَصَفَّ أَصْحَابُهُ خَلْفَهُ وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا.

Yahya narrated to us, from Malik, who said: al-Zuhri informed me, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) announced the death of the Negus (al-Najashi) on the day he died, went out to the prayer ground, lined up his companions behind him, and offered four takbirs over him.
