حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ أَنَّ فَتًى مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ أَتَى أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِي حُلَّةٍ لَهُ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَجُلًا مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ كَانَ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِي حُلَّةٍ لَهُ قَدْ أَعْجَبَتْهُ جُمَّتُهُ وَبُرْدَاهُ إِذْ خُسِفَ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Thabit narrated to us, from Abu Rafi', that a young man from Quraysh came to Abu Hurayrah strutting in a fine garment of his. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "A man from those before you was strutting in a fine garment of his, impressed with his flowing hair and his two cloaks, when the earth swallowed him, and he continues sinking in it until the Day of Resurrection."
