حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَدْرَكَ شَيْخًا يَمْشِي بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ مُتَوَكِّئًا عَلَيْهِمَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا شَأْنُ هَذَا الشَّيْخِ قَالَ ابْنَاهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ نَذْرٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ ارْكَبْ أَيُّهَا الشَّيْخُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ غَنِيٌّ عَنْكَ وَعَنْ نَذْرِكَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Prophet (peace be upon him) came upon an old man walking between his two sons, leaning on them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'What is the matter with this old man?' His sons said: 'O Messenger of Allah, he had a vow to fulfill.' He said to him: 'Ride, O old man, for Allah the Almighty is free of need from you and your vow.'
