حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَجْلِسُ فَيَسْمَعُ الْحِكْمَةَ ثُمَّ لَا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ صَاحِبِهِ إِلَّا بِشَرِّ مَا سَمِعَ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ أَتَى رَاعِيًا فَقَالَ يَا رَاعِيَ اجْزُرْ لِي شَاةً مِنْ غَنَمِكَ قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَخُذْ بِأُذُنِ خَيْرِهَا فَذَهَبَ فَأَخَذَ بِأُذُنِ كَلْبِ الْغَنَمِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The example of one who sits and listens to wisdom, then reports from his companion only the worst of what he heard, is like a man who came to a shepherd and said: 'O shepherd, slaughter a sheep for me from your flock.' He said: 'Go and take the best one by its ear.' So he went and took the ear of the shepherd's dog."
