حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي رُقَيَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَلَا هَامَةَ وَلَا حَسَدَ وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ.

Qutaybah told us: Rishdin ibn Sa'd told us, from al-Hasan ibn Thawban, from Hisham ibn Abi Ruqayyah, from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: There is no contagion, no evil omen, no owl of ill omen, and no envy, but the evil eye is real.
