حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أُكْسُومٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ حُجَيْرَةَ يَسْأَلُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ الْبَرْحِيِّ كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي يُخْبِرُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّ خَصْمَيْنِ اخْتَصَمَا إِلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي فَقَضَى بَيْنَهُمَا فَسَخِطَ الْمَقْضِيُّ عَلَيْهِ فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَضَى الْقَاضِي فَاجْتَهَدَ فَأَصَابَ فَلَهُ عَشَرَةُ أُجُورٍ وَإِذَا اجْتَهَدَ فَأَخْطَأَ كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرٌ أَوْ أَجْرَانِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hasan narrated to us: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated, al-Harith ibn Yazid narrated from Salamah ibn Uksum who said: I heard Ibn Hujayrah asking al-Qasim ibn al-Barhi: "How did you hear Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As report?" He said: I heard him saying: "Two disputants brought their case to Amr ibn al-As, and he judged between them. The one against whom the judgment was made was displeased, so he went to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and told him. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'When a judge judges and strives to reach the correct ruling and is correct, he has ten rewards. And when he strives and errs, he has one or two rewards.'"
