Hasan narrated to us: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated, Huyay narrated from Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli from Abdullah ibn Amr that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was asked about the hanging fruits. He said: Whoever takes something out of necessity without putting it in his garment, there is no blame on him. Whoever takes it away from there, he shall be fined double and punished. And whoever steals after it has been placed in the threshing area, and its value reaches the price of a shield, his hand shall be cut off.
