حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ وَسَعْدٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يَخْطُبَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ أَوْ يَبِيعَ عَلَى بَيْعِهِ.

Ya'qub and Sa'd told us, they said: Our father told us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said: Nafi', the client of Abdullah ibn Umar, told me that Abdullah ibn Umar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbid a man to propose over his brother's proposal or to sell over his sale.
