حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْعُمَرِيُّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ ابْنَ رَوَاحَةَ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ يَخْرُصُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ خَيَّرَهُمْ أَنْ يَأْخُذُوا أَوْ يَرُدُّوا فَقَالُوا هَذَا الْحَقُّ بِهَذَا قَامَتْ السَّمَوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ.

Waki' told us, al-'Umari told us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent Ibn Rawahah to Khaybar to assess the yield of their crops, then gave them the choice to take it or return it. They said, "This is the truth by which the heavens and the earth stand firm."
