حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ رَأَى حُلَّةَ سِيَرَاءَ أَوْ حَرِيرٍ تُبَاعُ فَقَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ اشْتَرَيْتَ هَذِهِ تَلْبَسُهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَوْ لِلْوُفُودِ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ هَذِهِ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ قَالَ فَأُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْهَا حُلَلٌ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى عُمَرَ مِنْهَا بِحُلَّةٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مِنْكَ تَقُولُ مَا قُلْتَ وَبَعَثْتَ إِلَيَّ بِهَا قَالَ إِنَّمَا بَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَبِيعَهَا أَوْ تَكْسُوَهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya narrated to us, from 'Ubaydullah: Nafi' informed me, from Ibn 'Umar, that 'Umar saw a garment of striped silk, or silk, being sold, and he said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "If only you would buy this and wear it on Friday or for delegations." He said: "This is only worn by one who has no share in the Hereafter." He said: Then garments of that kind were presented to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, as a gift, and he sent one of them to 'Umar. 'Umar said: "I heard you say what you said, and yet you have sent it to me?" He said: "I only sent it to you so that you might sell it or clothe others with it."
