حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَهِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ الضَّبِّ فَقَالَ لَا آكُلُهُ وَلَا أُحَرِّمُهُ.

Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar, from Ibn 'Umar, and Hisham, from his father: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the dabb, and he said: "I do not eat it, nor do I forbid it."
