Sufyan told us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Kill snakes, and the one with two stripes, and the short-tailed one, for they cause miscarriage and attack eyesight." And Ibn Umar used to kill every snake he found, until Abu Lubabah or Zayd ibn al-Khattab saw him chasing a snake and said: "It has been forbidden to kill those that dwell in houses."
