حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ عَفَّانُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنِ مُرَّةَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عَجِبَ رَبُّنَا عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ رَجُلَيْنِ رَجُلٍ ثَارَ عَنْ وِطَائِهِ وَلِحَافِهِ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَهْلِهِ وَحَيِّهِ إِلَى صَلَاتِهِ فَيَقُولُ رَبُّنَا أَيَا مَلَائِكَتِي انْظُرُوا إِلَى عَبْدِي ثَارَ مِنْ فِرَاشِهِ وَوِطَائِهِ وَمِنْ بَيْنِ حَيِّهِ وَأَهْلِهِ إِلَى صَلَاتِهِ رَغْبَةً فِيمَا عِنْدِي وَشَفَقَةً مِمَّا عِنْدِي وَرَجُلٍ غَزَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَانْهَزَمُوا فَعَلِمَ مَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ الْفِرَارِ وَمَا لَهُ فِي الرُّجُوعِ فَرَجَعَ حَتَّى أُهَرِيقَ دَمُهُ رَغْبَةً فِيمَا عِنْدِي وَشَفَقَةً مِمَّا عِنْدِي فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِمَلَائِكَتِهِ انْظُرُوا إِلَى عَبْدِي رَجَعَ رَغْبَةً فِيمَا عِنْدِي وَرَهْبَةً مِمَّا عِنْدِي حَتَّى أُهَرِيقَ دَمُهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Our Lord, the Almighty, is amazed at two men: a man who rises from his bed, leaving his blanket and his family and household to go to his prayer. Our Lord says: O My angels, look at My servant who has risen from his bed, leaving his blanket, his family and household, to go to his prayer out of desire for what I have and out of fear of what I have. And a man who fought in the cause of Allah the Almighty, and his companions were defeated. He knew what awaited him for fleeing and what reward there was in returning, so he returned until his blood was spilled — out of desire for what I have and out of fear of what I have. Allah the Almighty says to His angels: Look at My servant who returned out of desire for what I have and out of fear of what I have, until his blood was spilled.'
